Transitions & Transformations
Part companion, part coach, part experienced hand
"Maia helped me move through a very difficult time when I worried the emotions I was carrying were too much for my friends and children to bear. She helped me find meaning in my grief and my own strength in what felt like an overwhelming situation."
— Minh
Even if a transition is ultimately positive and expansive, the process involves a death, a reckoning and a transformation. We cannot move to the light without allowing something to die. We live in a society that doesn't acknowledge this part of our process, let alone make time and space for it.
I am able to walk that path with you. Guided by your own intuitive knowing as well as ancestral maps that have long charted this territory, I can ask questions, offer presence, frameworks, somatic practices and rituals to help you find and interpret meaning while you find your way to the next stage of your life.
This work is for anyone crossing a threshold — whether that's the death of someone you love, the end of a marriage, a career that's run its course, a diagnosis that changes everything, a move that uproots your sense of home, or the quieter grief of watching the life you expected give way to something you didn't choose.
We begin with a free 20-minute conversation to assess needs and determine if we're a good fit. Then we determine a course of action.
Possible Services
So often coaching or counselling sessions happen outside real life. They might give you exercises or a course of action, but that doesn't necessarily increase your capacity. Instead, you're left feeling like you have more to do.
My sessions happen within your daily life — in the chores you've been avoiding, in the task that feels too much to tackle. I will work alongside you as we explore the metaphors held within. As we lighten your load, clarity emerges.
Grief and transformation is a very tender process. It may not feel comfortable to be witnessed or guided by another person. But you can still benefit from the support of someone who has walked this path many times.
Drawing on 25 years of practice and the community of the Centre of Sacred Deathcare, I can help you design meaningful rituals to move emotion, find grounding and clarity, release what no longer serves, and invite support during challenging times.
I use principles of Feng Shui and energetic space clearing to support this process. All practices can be adjusted or expanded to respect and include all belief systems.
Held, unhurried space to talk through what you're carrying. Not therapy — but a compassionate, experienced presence who can listen without flinching and ask the questions that help you find your own clarity.
Guided walks on the North Shore's trails where the body can move what the mind cannot. Part ritual, part conversation, part simply being in motion with someone who understands what you're going through.
